I'm in the middle of doing my 18 raptor speakers and amps upgrades. . I'm thinking if I can run from the factory amp into my high level inputs on my amps I'll run a 4 channel and a mono block. Both amps have high level inputs . Does anyone have any input ?

Equipment :

Skar tx69
Skar tx65
Skar tweets
Skar lp-80.4
Skar lp-1000.1
Skar vd12 dual 4ohm . X2 Gonna be 1ohm load.
Ground shaker dual 12 sealed box down fire.

If you can afford it, get rid of the b&o amp which will eliminate factory eq roll off and replace it with a NavTV ZEN a2b. Then you don’t have to worry about high level inputs. The new version of zen a2b has a built in 12 channel dsp.

Yes I understand that. Its horrible that this is the only option with the a2b setup. I'm trying to work around it. I'm going to try and tap in after the factory amp into my high level inputs on my amps. I am looking for someone with experience on this .

The problem is, unlike the older Sony amp, the b&o amp does not handle the tweeter channels. So if you only tap into the high level output of b&o amp, you won’t have any frequencies above about 1000hz which is a problem. Above 1000hz is all speaking, voices, and any high pitch sounds. Most tweeters only play down to about 1500hz so you are going to be missing a lot of sound. You will have to tap into the tweeter channels in the a-pillars, run wires back to your amp and then run the tweeter channels out of your crossovers back to the a-pillars. The other problem you are going to have is time alignment. Without using a processor, you are going to run into phase issues and you will have no way to adjust for listening position or distance.

Also, I almost forgot, depending on the load your ampliar puts on the high-level outputs on the b&o, you are going to have problems with chime routing. More than likely, your IPC will route the chimes through the dash speaker. So if you have side collision alert of back up sensors, they won’t play from the rear speakers or from the direction a vehicle is approaching. Further, the chimes will sound the same as an xl model truck. Finally, you may need to install in-line resistors to even get sound out of the b&o amp if your external amp doesn’t place enough of a load on the speaker level channels. In other words, you have your work cut out if you want to do it without an integration module. B&o is a different animal.

Also on the a2b processor how do I send out signal to the speakers ? Run through the wires originally out of the b&o ?

Yes, from the a2b, you run the rcas into your amp and then run the output from your amp into your truck by splicing into the factory harness. You will still need to run new tweeter channels. No way around that.

What feeds the tweets from the b&o ? I figure the pin out should be easy enough to find out. And the plug on my b&o amp has 20 wires. Do we know what they all are ?

The head unit feeds the tweets.

Here’s the pin out diagram. f5eb81dacde93c932157499de4be8d5c.jpg
