I do like the idea that AlbertaRaptor has, it sounds like the rear may still be soft which is what I need.
Here in NYC the five boroughs pot holes are plentiful and large and deep and the repairs being done sometimes make them worse,
then you have street cut outs, steel plates and just plain crappy roads. I hear my shocks click more offen than the drone noise LOL
I keep my tires aired down to 40 lbs and still the back will dance and click.

What do think the Nationals or Deavers do in this Environment?

My nationals reduced the bounce over wash board type roads noticeably. There's a section coming into town I drive often that makes a turn on a steep grade. Gravity keeps pushing the road down so it bunches up and ripples real bad. I noticed with the nationals control over the ripples is much calmer and the trucks more controllable.

Yes I want to know about that as well.

I have wheel hop with the diff locked, been like that since day one.
I sometimes get it when the diff open.

Now I have the Whipple installed and my first try to launch without power braking with the diff locked scared me to death.
I though the rear was going to rip off.

I want to do nice 2 wheel burn outs! But I don't want to beat the shit out of her.

And I very much want to keep the ride height, so my question is,

If I add the new extra leaf and get that drop down shackle, will the ride height remain the same?

And what do you think? Will the one added leaf hold up to a Whipple from wheel hop?

I have not done any perch adjustments.

I believe I am correct in saying if you remove the middle factory leaf and replace it with one like I did your truck should be level and it should eliminate wheel hop. It's untested but knowing how much mine improved I have no doubt it will work.

You would be essentially running a double main leaf.

I can tell you guys that my truck launches like a new Mustang and I can do a brake stand without fear. When you are doing a brake stand and let off the brake it leaves a solid 20 foot black mark with zero hop.

Quite the rush I might add :)

So I would not need the drop down shackle, if I replace instead of adding the new leaf?

What part number did you use or is it anyone that you would find at National, Summit or any parts place?

You need to go to a spring shop. I listed the size in post #23 and I wouldn't suggest attempting this at home.
