For those curious few, it'smonths later and the fix for the truck is still doing great.

I'm glad to hear it's all good. I really think it is a great option. Thanks again for presenting it and the follow-up.

Nice thread Jeff.
Being an seasoned Mopar guy I fully understand in your OP what Dodge did and how us racers worked out fixes. One thing thing I recall doing back in the day was putting the taxi rear srings on the right rear to slow the Mopar twisted launch!!!
On another note on the memory front, I have done several cold re-arches in a shop I worked at for the front and rear of leafed Blazers, that we took them from a negative arch to a positive arch and gained 4-6 inch lift and they did not try to return to their original shape. But for Gods sakes do not try to bend/re-arch too close to the centering bolts on the leaf, unless you want 2 peice leaves and buy new ones!!! Ouch....
On the typical "add a leaf" they seemed WAY too thick and arched similar to your pack and ride usually suffed from too stiff of spring rate.
Again great write up Jeff......

thanks!

I should mention too that I had 15,000 km's on the truck when I did this and I now have 86,000. SO thats about 50,000 MILES on the add-a-leaf without droop.

Thanks for all this info! I just traded my 2010 fx4 for my 2010 raptor with the 6.2. I absolutely love this truck, it is everything I thought it would be and more, but..... This wheel hop is horrible. I love burnouts!!! And the 2 don't mix. I was on a seal coated parking lot yesterday and nailed it without brake torquing and it was just embarrassing the way it hops. I sometimes even feel the inside tire hoping when I am taking turns in a "spirited" manner. I cannot wait to get this done, as I feel like it is a great option for those of us that cannot swallow a $1500 bill for Denver's or nationals. I got a couple weeks before I go back to work, but for now this is at the top of the list. Thanks again.

Anyone else do anything like this. I am thinking that I am going to have a leaf like this installed this week.

It wasn't a cure all but changing tires helped my wheel hop. I went from om to duratracs it could be that the duratracs are heavier for what ever reason they're not as bad.
