The attached pic is on a loaded 2019 at a lot in Idaho. It has 7900 miles and two previous owners. It is 2k more than I paid for the exact vehicle 2 years ago. I am also training a dog for a person that runs an auto auction in Idaho. Yesterday I asked him how much my 2019 with 48k miles will get an the auction. “He stated, “$75,000 easily.” That is the reason I do not mind paying 5k over sticker.
What if I told you that you could still get that same great resale value even if you pay MSRP? Sounds like $5K more in your pocket.

After reading several post’s, I do not doubt it. Until this, I never even paid MSRP for a vehicle. However, I do not want to spend hours shopping. It is convenient for me, similar to paying for maid service and a gardner. I can clean my house and mow my lawn, but neither are my favorite things to do. I never indicated it is smart, however it is easy. I paid 1k less than MSRP for my 2019 when other people were paying 5-10k over. I am not young and life is too short to spend time shopping around.

The ADM markup is crazy, I'd be happy to pay $500, unfortunately I'm in CA, and average starting markup is about $15-$20k. I've been quoted 35k. I want new Raptor bad, but not crazy bad. Lot i can do with extra 10k +. Got talking to one and if I'm "serious" they could get manager to lower it to about 10k.$........ Therefore I've been searching and calling out of state dealers. Hope to find somebody that's reasonable. Then i got to pay $1500 or more to flatbed it over here. Still better than paying thousands just for markup.
Or drive it home and enjoy breaking it in

Be careful, I used to live in California and at the time, California would not register a vehicle purchased out of state unless it had 7500 miles on the clock. There are exception, such as military and a few others, check first. That is one of many reasons I moved out of the GOLDEN STATE.

I'll answer your question. I paid a little over $87K and had it delivered to my front door and signed the paperwork at my kitchen table. Works out to $7,500 over MSRP. I could've waited for a 22 and gotten it for cheaper, but who really knows when that would be. Several of the dealers in a 200 mile radius from me that would sell at MSRP told me that the list they have for 22's is quite long and they can't guarantee me one anytime soon. I was late to the Raptor party and so was willing to pay up to $5k over. The closest one I found for that price was a seven hour drive from my house and wasn't the color I wanted. My time is too valuable to waste a couple days to pay $2,500 less for a color I didn't care for.
