GEN 2 Aux switch location

I have an interesting take on this. I have a 2014 F250. I had the 4 regular upfitter switches but wanted to be cooler. So I spent way too much free time and drank way too much beer and molded up an aftermarket option utilizing the sunglass holders in my SD. Final product came out like this:


I ended up doing 6 OTRATTW switches and the head unit/controls to my PA system. It LOOKED good, and factory. But the whole thing lasted for about 3 months till i ripped it out. I disliked the switch placement. Too far from my hand when driving with aux lighting on (my light bars specifically).

My current set up is this:



10 switches in the spare cup holder area. Utilizing OTRATTW switches and 3 RAM plates. This system works worlds better than the other. I can quickly turn on and off any switch I want without getting messed up. And the switches fall perfectly where my hand rests when naturally driving. Only defect is it takes up a bit of storage room, but I'm used to it and would pick this system again.

So, I'm reserving my opinion for this new set up in the Raptor. Farther reach, more out of the way, and presumably not as convenient. We shall see.

I really like this placment on the headliner better then the current setup. I also like the fact they added 2 more.

I have a light bar with 8" KC lights, I wonder if the bar would work on a 2017. I plan on keeping the lights and the light bar would be nice but not a show stopping. Yes it was a pain soldering the connection inside the kick panel. Hopefully as noted above they will address this. I hope they have a remote controlled tailgate lock.

Hate it. When I'm driving somewhere that might have oncoming traffic but I want to use my aux lighting I'll driven with my fingers on the switches for fast on/off as needed. What value is there having them up high except "looks cool?"
