PM sent with all the wiring diagrams for power door locks, location of the SJB and the connector faces and signal names. The SJB is in the passenger kick panel. These diagrams have the color codes on them.

Just got off the phone with 1 800 Fordkey which actually connected me to back to Long Island NY about five miles from me.

The tech guy said to stay away from the drivers side because there are alot more sensors and wires going to the door.

We need to go to the passenger side and find:

Violet with Gray stripe
Gray with Brown stripe

Both wires are a thicker gauge like 14

Still raining maybe I can get my wife to hold an umbrella for me! (yea right)

Thank You Doubleeaz for the Email !!!!!!

Again this is a no go!

I was able to see the wires coming into the cab from the passenger door but all the wires are same gauge.
it's hard tell were they run to because it's all taped up. I am thinking about removing that control box and look at the wires a little better. Problem is I'm not an expert at this kind stuff. I really am forging blindly forward!
The first picture is a closeup of the wires coming from the passenger side door and you can not get to this without removing the whole Control Module. Which in all honesty does not look to bad to do. Will have to wait next week sometime after IRENE goes through.

I never would have thought I would do this to a $50,000 Truck

Called them back and after a long conversation it's determined that I or someone is going to have to see what's in the passenger side door it could be that Ford put relays in the door, but highly unlikely.

He also was telling me that in the new Camaros you can't even touch anything like what we are trying to do
IT WILL SHUT THE CAR DOWN PEROID.....

Back to the drawing board :banghead:

Getting relays or a controller for these tailgate locks looks more like this is what we are going to have to do.

Oh yea, 1 800 Fordkey knows who I am!!! And it's a courtesy for me to speak with them. Thank you
I guess everybody trying this route.

I would just take the the Raptor to a Authorzied Ford Alarm installer
but shelling out more money is not what I want to do this was my last exterior mod.
I'm saving for a Super Charger Kit for next year

I will not have time until Sunday but I will pull off the drivers and passenger door panels and see what I can fine. I have a 2011 Crew cab so hopefully the wire colors will be close.

If my vision of how this works is correct, I think it can be solved with 4 relays but that is big and lots of wires. I am looking to design a circuit board that will be much smaller. Would basically have five wires: one for lock, one for unlock, one for ground and two to the pop-n-lock solenoid. You can connect the unlock to either drivers door or one of the passenger doors.

I'm hoping this can help you out:
Keyless tailgate - Page 3 - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans

other reading referring to the above thread:
Power Tailgate Lock? - Page 5 - F150online Forums

I should add that it's much easier to find the wires with a test light. One lead going to ground and one lead to poke around. I started off using a multimeter and didn't realize till later that the meter wasn't quick enough to register the pulse. I chased wires on two occasions and found nothing but frustration. When I used a $3.00 test light, the current pulse was very obvious even if you were not looking directly at the test light.

Thanks for the thread Vidiot.
But the problem is Raptors have keyless entry system it is a slightly different wiring harness. There is only one GR/BR running in either channel I had to battle 1 800 Fordkey with this problem, Trucks with keyless entry meaning a number pad at the drivers door.
Ford key also mention the Raptor doors might be tied into a CAN system. I forget what it exactly means, but the cranes I operate has serveral computers and when I boot them up It says loading CAN and if one circuit does not responed correctly nothing moves.

I think thats why Ford Key told me to stay away from the drivers door.
But again thank you.

I am a little worried about just trying all different wires now!!

In the thread people are doing it with their lariat's. I would doubt our trucks are anymore complicated than those.

If you're really worried you could pull the door panel off completely and tie directly into the same two leads that the door solenoid uses.

There are a few guides on f150online on how to do this. its not too difficult.
it would be more work to route the wires though.

I know this thread is getting big but that's an option discussed already.
Not all Lariat's have keypads that's an option.

Doubleeaz!

I am not going to hold my breath, 2011 Rapotrs have that Driver Command Center in the instrument cluster I woundn't be surprized if it's a little different.

All 2011 F150's got the new instrument panel and select shift transmission didnt they?

Couldnt reply to your PM, but I do have a Raptor. I have not installed anything like this, though it has been something I've looked into in the past on my 04.

I would go with his method of testing with a needle and bulb thinger to find the proper wire for lock/unlock and grounding to the frame.

and based on what I've read in your thread and others. the stock door locks are also two-wire solenoids. so tapping into one of them with an additional solenoid should not cause any problems based on the number of success stories.
And with the raptor internals basically being a fancy (Lariat + ) F150.

Hell, FX4's can buy our Offroad 4x4 module/selector and get the same locker functionality as we have(no speed limit to disable the locker)
So more evidence for me to believe they didnt put a super computerized door lock in the raptor.

Ok your missing the point, I did not state that it had a super computer in the door lock, I am just posting what some experts are suggesting I repeat suggesting, I am not a auto mechanic, nor do I pretend to be, thats why I started this thread to find someone to figure this out.
Hopefully you buy this lock and get answers for us.

Thanks again

Just to bring a little laughter to this thread:

"I think I can get this in my Raptor"

OK just checking to see if someone else had tried any of the wires yet I have been busy Irene proofing my house.
After talking to 1 800 Fordkey
I did forget to check the wires from a 2011 Ford explorer XLT

blue/green
yellow/purple

on the drivers side!

I'm getting a little upset now because all my stuff is starting to get a little loose from ripping everything off and on.
And the chance that I could burn something out as well.

I found the better version of the guy taking the 2010 F-150 door panel off.

2010 F-150 Door Panel Removal Speaker Install - YouTube

The next day I have off I will try it on the passenger door just to confirm the wires to the actuator unless Doubleeaz does it first.
