I'd rather not review all the posts in this thread so if you'll indulge me (please):

1. Is anyone doing this mod with a SuperCab Raptor?
2. What are the wire colors?
3. What side of the truck will the wires be found?

Thanks!

Yeah, the pop-n-lock rear gate solenoid with the pace edwards electric bed cover is like having a retractable safe! I love it, looks great, and is off road friendly.

where exactly did you tap into the wires at? And when you say left side, you mean the drivers side? Wasn't sure since then you talked about making sure you routed them away from the muffler.

I'd really like to do this mod.

Sorry, At the tailgate, I routed the wires out the same hole as the camera cable, I then followed it so that the quick disconnect for the solenoid is right next to the quick disconnect for the camera cable.
If you have a set of mechanical fingers like MTF, it would probably be better to route them his way down the frame rail of the passenger side of the truck.
Anyway, I only have these 3 inch mechanical fingers so I routed wires along the drivers side beneath the bed and easily crossed over to the passengers side by just dropping the wires between the bed and the cab. You must ensure that there is no slack and secure them on the left and right sides of the truck with zip-ties so they do not sag down onto the muffler. I'm sure it would quickly melt through them.
Everything else I did just like MTF. The grommet (where you gain access into the cab) for the SCrew is a little further back than MTF's, it removes easy. I pulled mine out from the bottom, drilled a hole in it so that I can run the sleeving through it and part way forward in the cab beneath the rear rocker panel with the factory sleeving. I then fished just the wires forward to the front seat with some rigid wire I had laying around(used this on the tailgate too) and I tapped in under the front passenger side rocker panel. I'm sure the wires exist under the rear panel but all the wires there are covered in sleeving themselves. The wires are not covered at the front.
Again, all credit goes to MTF!

Don't mean to hijack but this is exactly what I want. I was thinking about wiring a switch so that it retracts when I open the tailgate and closes when I close the tailgate but can be overridden to leave the cover open with the tailgate closed. Possible?
Do all the slats in that bed cover rattle over bumps?

Maybe a switch at the tailgate would be simpler. Don't like the key fob idea too much.

To BL1X,

There is absolutely no ratttle in fact it also dampens the road noise, that plus the Bedrug really killed all road noise.

Now all you will hear is the tires and of course the drone hum from the exhaust.

Not to be a salesman but the Pace Edwards Bedlocker is made out of beefy stock more than any other cover.

I 'm not 100% sure but I think they have a video or picture of two people standing on it and playing basketball.

I also have the extra toggle switch from Pace Edwards mounted in the bed under the rail.

If you don't like the wireless you can save some money and get the non remote one and get two toggle switches. One inside the cab and one in the bed.

I can tell you it will not have the same effect when you show it off to your friends. People are simple amazed when I hit my Stock Remote!!!

Now I don't know about making it automatic with the tailgate because I use the tailgate alot and I won't want the cover moving every time I open the tailgate.

What if you have to get the shovel or snow brush out and there is snow on it or it's raining.

I use the bed extender attached together and fold it over into the bed and use it like a trunk.

MTF - Thanks Much! The auto thing was something I was toying around with in my head. I like the idea of the switch at the back. Glad to hear P/E offers one. Definitely going to look into that.
