I want to know if:

When AWD is selected does it just engage/disengage the clutches to send power to the front -or- is there an active center diff to split power.

Hopefully it is the latter.

The R&T article makes it just sound like a hybrid of GM's system that uses a clutch for their "Auto 4wd" and Ford's version that locks in the front driveline.

I agree, would be nice to know. Want something durable and not designed like the Torsen

I bought a 2014 bc I didn't want an EB engine, I wanted 6.2 V8. I'm glad I did. 2017 looks interesting but it's not the same without the V8.

No. I do like the technology in it and the looks might grow on me (tailgate never will) but the Ecoboost kills it for me. I'll just take the premium they decide to charge for it and buy myself a supercharger for the 6.2L. I don't see them squeezing 685 horses out of the 3.5L.

At this point no. Not unless they offer a V-8 , pref. the 6.2, put T.T. on that if they want , but offer a REAL V-8. Ford was on TOP with what they had , the competition WILL fill the market by at least offering a V-8. There is a reason the old Iron ,big /small, blocks still keep on running regardless of abuse , least we forget about. torque torque torque,,,,,,,

The current EcoBoost has more torque sooner than our 6.2L. Also, it's the same engine that's going in the new Ford GT. If it's the exact same motor, it's already going to be tuned for 600hp for the GT and if it's anything like Ford's previous performance engines it will be built like a tank and will be able to handle a ton of boost. I could easily see the new 3.5L EcoBoost putting out 600rwhp on the new Raptor with just a tune and exhaust.

Saying that, I won't be upgrading. I like mine and there isn't anything that really makes me want the new one.

Good plan, and seems I'm not the only one who is thinking like you are. My 2011 6.2 does not have that many miles on her yet; with that kind of window (can remain 'undecided' until 3-4 years from now), might be time to put some $$ into her.....just wish there was a shop a little closer out here in E. TX.

At this point I am undecided. Some things I like, some I don't like, some I want more information on. Would have to see and drive one first. Touch myself in the meantime.
