Apple Car Play Volume Issue

Recently when connecting my phone and using apple car play when I adjust the volume it only adjusts the prompt volume. I cannot control the volume of the music.

If i disconnect my phone not on apple car play the volume works as it should.

anyone experience something similar?

It appears that it might be an issue with Waze.

Thanks for the redirect. Weird, I do have waze but havent used it. Just deleted the app and will try.
