Apple Car Play Connection Problem

Mine disconnects and reconnects in two particular spots here in Socal.

Every car I’ve owned with CarPlay has had occasional issues with connection wired and wireless. Corvette, land rover, and two raptors. All had connection issues at similar rates.

3rd place taking the HOV ramp up on the 405 when it merges with the 5. And on the 405 at beach Blvd. Drops and causes problems everytime.

Anyone have Car Play connection problems aster the IOS 17 update? I have had issues with the phone staying connected and trying to reconnect after a lost connection. I have had to do the forget this devise and do a full phone reconnect a few times to get it working again.

This all started after the IOS 17 update.

Mine has worked flawlessly in both my 23 Raptor and our X5. Hope I didn't just jinx myself.

I had disconnect issues with the USB-C to USB-C cable with IOS17.0.3. The update to 17.1 fixed that.

Is there some type of reprogram or update that the dealer can preform that fixes my Apple Car Play. I can't drive anymore without it glitching out. I am using an iPhone 12 mini, but it's fully updated and has been for about the past 6–8 months.

Has anyone had experience with repairs that fixed it? The raptor goes to the dealer tomorrow because my electric receptacles do not have any power, all three of them, including the one in the back bed area. Sometimes it just disconnects and won't reconnect for about 15–20 minutes no matter how many times I shut off my phone or disconnect the car play button. The only thing that seems to work is shutting the truck off completely and turning it back on.

Dealer says there are no new available updates for this issue, and it's pretty universal with the CarPlay in all ford vehicles. They did do an upgrade of my AC software which in turn will cause the transmission to relearn. So maybe this overall hard reset of the computer might help out. It just seems like mine is much worse than everyone else's or everyone else just isn't complaining about it anymore.

It seems worse, but not apples to apples with my iphone 15. Mine has been working great.
