Towed a 4500lb double axle trailer about 100 miles. Only comparison I have is my 2018 raptor and my previous tundras. More stable and seemed to be less squatting with the Gen3. Also felt more composed. Mostly highway and I still averaged 15 mpg on the trip. Based on that experience I’m confident in saying it is more capable than my Gen 2. Tundra was probably better towing overall, but raptors weren’t made for towing. Very capable for the smaller stuff though. Power will never be an issue.Has anyone done any towing with their Gen 3 yet? I've got a new Raptor on order and part of the reason for the Raptor is to tow my travel trailer. Currently towing with a 2017 Tacoma that struggles a bit.
Dry weight is 4000lbs with a 480lb tongue weight (yes I have a WDH) so I'm hoping that at roughly half the Raptor's tow rating it will still do just fine.
Anyone have any feedback about how the new rear suspension set-up handles trailers or additional weight?
