Has anyone done any towing with their Gen 3 yet? I've got a new Raptor on order and part of the reason for the Raptor is to tow my travel trailer. Currently towing with a 2017 Tacoma that struggles a bit.

Dry weight is 4000lbs with a 480lb tongue weight (yes I have a WDH) so I'm hoping that at roughly half the Raptor's tow rating it will still do just fine.

Anyone have any feedback about how the new rear suspension set-up handles trailers or additional weight?
Towed a 4500lb double axle trailer about 100 miles. Only comparison I have is my 2018 raptor and my previous tundras. More stable and seemed to be less squatting with the Gen3. Also felt more composed. Mostly highway and I still averaged 15 mpg on the trip. Based on that experience I’m confident in saying it is more capable than my Gen 2. Tundra was probably better towing overall, but raptors weren’t made for towing. Very capable for the smaller stuff though. Power will never be an issue.

Mine hasn't arrived yet but I'll be towing my 2 UTVs on an aluminum trailer. My gen2 did fine after adding the +3 HD leafs, hoping this truck will work fine out the box.
Here's my current setup, way overkill for what's i'm towing.

What does a new trailer like that and the sundowner cost and weigh?

Also, towing question, sort of. When I had a VW Touareg with air suspension, and a Macan with the same, once you lowered the trailer down on the ball, the suspension would automatically pump itself up and level the vehicle. Was that just, sort of, for show, or was that really helping to not have sag?

The air suspension definitely helps the sag. It can also improve the ride. I know a guy who installed Air Ride bags on his Gen 2 and pulled a boat around 8k lbs. he said it improved the ride quality and sway quite a bit as well as the sag.

Just curious as I havent been able to find a definite answer.... do the Raptor taillights have the trailer weight/payload indicators in them like the other 21 up F150s?

Outside of the noticeable sag, my Gen3 towed my wife's mustang very well.

Just towed the boat for the first time this weekend, going from a 2020 tundra, I found a obvious difference pulling from a dead stop but once I was up and rolling it drove much better with 0 sway or pull! Tounge weight was around 500, slight sag at the rear! Overall it very impressed with the Gen3! Only down side I seen is on the last picture trying to get the hooks in! 3CF5D1AB-5825-4005-82C4-FFDAE80B673B.jpeg
