I got mine today. It's falsing on a Ka band that is no where to be found. And it's coming from the rear antenna.

Anyone running this new detector yet? It doesn't happen with my Radenso Pro M or my Uniden R3.

I've shut off the blind spot monitoring, etc., without success.

Thank you.

I'll follow this as I've been running a R3 for sometime and looking to update to the R7. Have you checked any of the RD forums? There shouldn't be anything on our trucks that the F150 doesn't have.

I looked briefly on the RD forum which I just joined. I tried to download the new firmware but it's no longer on the Uniden website. Someone posted it on the RD forum but it doesn't work. Not sure if that's it or not.

I did speak with support from RadarBusters where I bought it from. At first they were going to have Uniden swap it out, but then called me back and said it may not help. They are supposed to call me again this evening. We shall see.

Uniden is usually very good about firmware updates, I would suspect this will be the same. Sucks being an early adopter sometimes!

If you look on RD forum at R7 issues, it's 23 pages worth. Seems to be half baked. Truly a shame.

I never use a radar detector, but have recently become reliant on WAZE. It does a very nice job of calling out the police, even on long stretches of highway.

Had the R3. Now the R7. Takes a bit of tweaking in settings but so far it’s great.

I dont know much about uniden but I have used ****** for 15 years. I currently have the 360 max with the app. It does everything including red light cameras its perfect for me and my driving which is usually around three digits slot. I also need to say there are minimal false alerts . It has GPS to lock out garbage signals. so those common stores and Walgreens wont be an issue.

My R7 is working flawless. But if you've never had a detector with front and rear detection it's going to be chatty. My V1 was chatty too.

Click the link above and set your detector up using the basic settings from Vortex... if you're in the Seattle area set it up exactly like he has his set up, it quiets it down quite a bit.

In my humble opinion this detector and its range cannot be touched. Perhaps yours is a bad one? anything made by man can have problems... ( just check out this forum)
LOL

Also I downloaded the firmware off of rdforum and had no problem installing it. Make sure you always do a complete reset of the detector after any updates of firmware on the Uniden detectors. Good luck
