Just wanted to see if anyone is running an ARB on-board twin compressor? I swung by 4wheel parts earlier for some goodies; in preparation for some future off-road fun. I’m planning on doing a Retrax Pro XR bed cover, and plan on mounting the compressor under the bin that stores the cover rolled up. Post’em up if you do. Thanks!!

How much did you pay for that air chuck? Looks exactly like the ARB which I paid 58.00 for. I have the ARB twin compressor that feeds an 8 gal tank this where my spare use to be.

It is the ARB Digital. I would have to double check my paperwork, but I think I paid $39.99 for it.

How do you like your ARB twin? Is the optional tank necessary? A lot of people keep pointing me towards Power Tank. I think I want the more permanent, endless air option.

I use the twin in my Jeep and Raptor. The Jeep has a 3 gallon tank and the Raptor does not. I don't see a whole lot of difference between the two. I also run the single in my two RZRs. I think the ARB is the best compressor out there at that price point. I have mine mounted under the rear driver side seat on my Scab.

You can also get it on Amazon.

I didn’t go with the ARB. I went with a 10 lb air tank from Power Tank. They are awesome and could fill a tire a lot faster then an air pump and it’s portable. And when you mount it on the truck they look badass. Check out the YouTube link and their website.

powertanks are great and all, until you need to fill 4 37-39" tires from 15-20psi, up to 35 psi on your prerunner, and also need to air up your chase rig from 25-30 psi to 55-60 psi, or run an air tool, or use it to clean out something that has gotten dirt and/or water in it that shouldn't have, then you find yourself asking to use someone's OBA because your powertank is out of juice.

Depends on your individual needs. I have a friend of my try to air up his 37’s with a OBA and first it took like 45 minutes to air up three and then the OBA overheated. If you have a shit loads of things to air up, then you should be thinking what system you’ll need before you take the trip. But for me to air up my stock tires on my ‘17 Raptor from 15 lbs to 35 lb there’s no problems and with air to spare. I suggest go on both website and check out what your needs are and compare. I also help my buddy air up his tire when he got a flat about 200 yards form where I was, I just grabbed my air tank and walked to him, with a OBA, you’re stuck unless he take off the tire and roll it to the OBA. You could also carry two tanks of air too.

I have no problem filling my tanks before I take my trip. But of cause if you’re in the middle of no where then you’re out of luck and that’s not saying your OBA might take a dump on you too. Go with what your needs are. What the hell!!! Get both!!!!
