Anyone race their raptor yet?

youtube them in moab and places like that. I couldn't believe it. My aunt also used to be the main engineer for jag, landrover, ford, and now harley davidson. She goes off roading with them all the time and is floored everytime as to what they do. The raptor will go off road much faster, but the range rover will out climb it everytime, even running those 20's.

she was the "main" engineer? there's hundreds of engineers of all backgrounds working for those companies what do you mean?

We have an 08 range sport supercharged (owned by ford btw) and its a bad mother. Had it up to 140 on highway and it really isn't a soccer mom 4x4, it really is a crawler and when you get thirsty just reach in the center console fridge and grab a cold drink lol. My raptor when I get it will whoop the ranges ass high speed off road but on road and crawling up a rock face the range will win every time. And I'm just a redneck in southern ohio........

Yeah, don't be bummed JP. They are different machines and the Raptors and the Rovers have different talents, pros/cons, etc. My Dad is somewhat of an Auto-Junkie and he has one of those Supercharged Rovers (the big one, not the RR Sport) and for a SUV/Truck it's pretty damned fast.

For what it's worth, he couldn't/wouldn't keep up at high speed once the race leaves pavement and he's completely jealous of our SYNC/Nav systems.... He says he wishes the Rover's similar system worked half as well.

...but don't let me discourage you. Get with those fellas at Livernois and whip that Rover's ass!

IDK, she was one of the head engineers, so when someone had a problem that the shop couldn't fix or find out why it broke or whatever, they call her and have her take a look to figure it out. She knows her shit

OK, I was finally humbled tonight.
I took off around a left corner with a Range Rover Sport (supercharged) on my ass. I lost him in the straight run, then hit a right hand street at 45mph, sorta sideways.
I wasn't really 'given it' but was accelerating pretty pretty good through 60mph. He shot through the corner and passed me within 200feet doing at least 10mph more than I could get.
Got my respect, but also made me grit my teeth as it's the first time I've been shut down.
Sigh, will now be looking at a CAI and tune, and looking more towards what Livernois is coming up with. I can't dump 10 grand into the motor right now, but seriously, a freaking Range Rover? They're for cricket players and driving to the polo game in Britain for ***** sakes.
Just ranting a bit...

I just got my truck 2 days ago! Give me time though..I'll have this at over 600hp by summer My poor wife though..she ******* (and still ******* about it) when I drifted the Expedition around a corner a few weeks ago.

Ahh the TC, a vehicle Maserati wishes desperately the world would forget.

I think it'd be fun to get one of those and then go hang out with it at the Maserati Club meetings, on their BB's, display at Cars and Coffee in the Maser section, or at Maserati Newport Beach, where you'd be sure to park right in front so nobody going in or out of the showroom could miss your little pride-and-joy. Really be an enthusiast with it, and chat up your fellow Maseratisti every chance you get, always bringing the conversation back around to YOUR favorite Maser: the vaunted TC.

He might have some mods you are not aware of. I'm always wary of sleeper cars.
