Anyone get their headers coated?

finally exhaust is in he ordered it with out the thermal coating said it would eventually flake off on a off road truck and the cool down is just letting it idle a second before turning off after a hard run it's kinda nice being excited again so a couple of week it should be on and rumbling

is the jet hot 2000 coating overkill? Should I go with a lower number because it really doesn't matter that much?

SW jet's the inside somehow so no flaking to worry about.

We currently use Calico Coatings and yes, the headers are coated on the inside and the outside for lower temps and better exhaust scavenging. Temp rating on the Calico cool black is 1700° (1800° intermittent). We highly suggest using thermal coated headers, especially in the Ford applications as the engine is very wide and fits a little snug in the engine bay. There are many electrical connections as well, so adding the coating is almost a necessary addition just to try to keep extra heat off electrical components, intake system, fuel lines and regulator etc.... The Coolblack coating is rated a bit higher than the standard Coolkrome finish.

I used Calico Coolkrome 2 ceramic coating

Just had my Kooks headers and catted Y-pipe coated by Calico Coatings in their Coolkrome 2. They look great and sound even better with Roush catback exhaust! They are hard to see from the top but here are some pics (or it didn't happen) of them on the truck.
