1 7/8 here as well, basically stainless works.

Im thinking of sending it off to nitroplate for a nice coating of gloss black. Actually contemplating doing the whole damn exhaust. (im a fan of stealth exhausts)

Just not sure how bad of a beating it will be from the wifey. (e.g. price)

WISH I got mine coated. Didn't even think about it till AFTER I had them installed.
Took my guys all of 11 hours to install and yes it is a pain in the ASS to do reason why I didn't.. :)
They charged me $800 (install and dyno testing) Got a great deal and GREAT work.

IRONMAN why do you wish you would've powder coated them? I mean their stainless steel they won't rust. You could always get header wrap tape.

wraps tear, rip, trap dirt/moisture and can be a pain in the but to install (if you have to wet them use gloves, etc). Some of the newer wraps look interesting (based on crushed lava rocks), but its still the same bit on the tears/rips, etc.

that being said, i want to coat mine, then wrap the headers. ;)

Hopefully the SW cats can handle the extra heat...

Thats a good point DirtNasty, I didn't even consider the wrap tearing, especially when we will be off roading. Valid point! =)

That's what I thought.
They almost LOOK LIKE they have a thin coat of rust. Might just be my eyes but who knows.
I'll try and take some pics.
