Soooooooo, Long story short ( pun intended), The steel frame that supports the one-piece front end on my truck was contacting my sdhq switchpros mounting bracket under the hood.
When the one-piece frame hit the bracket, the bracket would hit the main feed cable to the power distribution block. it eventually wore through the insulation and began shorting.
So far, I have replaced the battery, the pcm relay, every single fuse, replaced the cable that goes from battery terminal to power distribution block, replaced the batter terminals, rechecked all the grounds, tried to trace the harness as best I could to look for any arcing/singing/damage to the harness.
Now, the truck will crank, but will not turn over. ( the starter will fire and try for 15 seconds, then stops).
I am kind of at my wit's end and the only code that I've gotten is U1013, which leads me to believe the PCM may be fried.
Has anybody ever seen this? Should I just buy a new PCM? Anything else that I could try? ( short of replacing the entire harness).
@FordTechOne any ideas? ( or any guidance on diag?) I highly doubt that any ford dealer wants to work on my junk.
