Ford's master plan....
Like it or not, here is how the marketing machine is working at Ford:
Run the Baja 1000 - Nov 16th
Advertise like hell
Start shipping Raptors (hopefully close to the running of the race)
Media gets to drive them
And all the buzz just sells more trucks (and hopefully more regular F-150's, too)
In the meantime, we all just wait and know that Christmas will come eventually. After all, Fall doesn't end until December 21st.... So, the Raptor meets all the promises and Ford builds a bigger halo around the truck franchise. We just have to accept the fact that we are pawns in the bigger game. But, it is going to be a great damn day when that truck arrives at the dealer in a couple weeks.
