Another under hood light solution

I mounted a light on the grille support, then hooked it to an upfitter switch. It lights the engine compartment nicely.

nice writeup. I have the Outlaw or SDHQ (can't remember which), but I would also like to comment on how sparkly clean the engine bay and heat mat are on your truck. I have so much West Texas dirt from past TRR's in mine I forgot what a white engine bay looks like.

Ever wonder how much you hear is taken out of context? This is what our media does....

I picked up a couple.... figuring I would fool around...

So here's what I did ... in ... the ... little round ... hole in the middle for mounting ...

I .... like ... head and if possible something stronger .... I wish the head was a little bigger on them but they worked perfectly.

To mount... I simply... Put it through the hole ... pushed ... in ... relatively easily. Once ... in... I split open ... and ... I twisted ... up ... from the top ... down ... so I could just snake ... right under... I ... tried getting creative...

Now ... these little guys turn on too. Yeah, surprisingly so.... they are just raw ... and together they definitely add... I took a small pry bar... and couldn't get them to budge. They aren't going anywhere.

The only problem hooking them to an upfitter switch is that the ignition has to be on for them to work.

Would be really cool to have one of them wired to something like this. Turns on automatically when the hood opens, and it's on a retractable cord so you can take it anywhere over/under/behind the truck.
