To make a long story short.... I've basically had transmission issues since I first got my truck (new 2010 6.2). Harsh 2-1 downshift and odd 1-2-3 up shifting. I got a Hennessey programmer (didn't know any better at the time) around 40,*** miles to potentially solve the shifting issue... only made it worse. Had my computer flashed, only temporarily fixed the problem. Went with a 5* tune and told them the issues I was having, they adjusted the shift pressures and it fixed everything.... for a week. I've been to two dealerships, AAMCO, and had the computer dealer flashed over a handful of times... I'm now close to 70,000 miles and the truck just isn't enjoyable to drive anymore. Rebuilding the trans my only option? Anyone else had this problem? I'm close, very close to selling my baby :bawl:

I too would like a fix. Though my troubles are just recent on my 2011. I spent $800 to have dealer replace a cable in the Trans only to have the issue still be there. Wondering if there is any shop that can properly diagnose and diagnose these trans.

I have had the same problems from 27k miles to the current 49k on my 10 6.2 been to the dealer 3 times and they can never recreate the problems "their words" and refuse to do anything. They have had the truck for an entire month last time and it never even moved off the lot. It also has me ready to sell and move on

So there is a relearn cycle to get everything dialed. I wonder if u guys have a pcm problem that is causing it not to relearn and hold that memory?

If u drive the truck for a long period of time does it ever seem to get better? Or does it stay the same the whole time

They have reflashed mine multiple times. Typical dealer bs every time I go in. I just deal with it anymore. Hopefully the new raptor will be better then this 10 haha

Every morning my first 1-2 shift sounds and feels like I'm getting rear-ended. I also feel like there is a small amount of play in the drive shaft which is what makes it so bad. Have you guys all had your shafts inspected as well?

Yep. I personally pulled my driveshaft and re-greased the splines. Fixed the clunk but not the shifting problems of course.. My dealer is taking it in again sometime next week, hopefully they come up with something this time.

Yep same here. They pulled and greased and it got rid of the clunk. The hard shifting is still there. Ive had a handful of friends drive the truck and they all can feel the hard shifts. But the "Trained" techs can never have it happen lol.. Oh forgot to mention last time it was there I paid for a oil change and tire rotation that never happened. They had the balls to call me a liar. Good thing Ford doesnt use the same oil filter as Valvoline lol. i asked the guy to bring out a filter they use and when he saw it wasnt one of theirs he didnt have much to say hahaha
