Good deal, let us know how you turn out. I hate to see people having issues with their trucks and even more that they get ****** around by the stealership. I wish you luck!

I am having driveshaft/transfer case issues now too and luckily thus far my stealership has been very helpful. We will see though when I take it in on Tuesday to have the work done.

I'm glad your dealer has taken good care of you, Mike175. Let me know if you need any assistance following the appointment on Tuesday.

Update: took my truck into the dealership yesterday & took the lead tech for a ride with his computer hooked up. While he did see the downshifting problems he found out it was actually the 3-1 downshift, not the 2-1. He also felt the driveshaft bump when taking off as well as coming to a stop. As of right now he wants to start with the easy fix and work his way into the transmission. He found a TSB for a chrome moly driveshaft replacement & ordered one as soon as I left. I explained to him that I greased the splines with the OEM ford grease just two months ago. The grease ford supplies is for the two piece driveshafts, on the one piece, when greasing the splines, the transfer case oil thins out the grease on the splines rendering it useless in as little as 2,000 miles or so. One step at a time.... I'm really pleased with all the help I'm receiving right now.

My 2011 is at dealership with shifting problems too. Initially diagnosed as bad TB, I replaced it, same problem returned. Now they are saying bad PCM $1000 blah blah. Really a bad PCM on a 5 year old truck. As of today my truck has been at a dealership for 6 days total without a rental & would be into it for $2k!! In my opinion Ford service has gone downhill & compared to the service I get when I take my wife's MB in, It is a joke. No comparison. If Ford wants to sell $50-$70k vehicles they better wake up. (In fact if you own a $160k GT they will come pick it up for an oil change) Most folks that can afford these types of vehicles won't put up with this kind of shit for long. I'm Ford born & raised & if this isn't made right, I'm driving it to nearest Toyota dealership & trading it in on a Tundra. & no more GT500's or 2018 Raptors either. Just my good ol 69 Bronco... Out

I too would like a fix. Though my troubles are just recent on my 2011. I spent $800 to have dealer replace a cable in the Trans only to have the issue still be there. Wondering if there is any shop that can properly diagnose and diagnose these trans.

Ok. Got truck back and have driven for a few days. Seems fixed.

It was a pinched wire coming out of the pcm grounding the speed signal. A little tape n stuff and done. ...!!!...
