Thanks for the pics. Would you mind posting a few close up of the light and mount?
If you aim them a tick higher, Will it get rid of the light reflection from the hood vents?

Cleave beat me to it, but here they are anyway. Mine are aimed about as high as I would want them. Truthfully, I don't think the hood reflection can be eliminated from that position. Someone in another post mentioned a lower visor on the light housing. IMHO, I think it would reflect as bad or worse than the hood. Also, keep in mind that what appears in the pic is MUCH more pronounced than what I see when sitting in the driver's seat. To me, the only real annoyance is the reflection coming from the Antenna. Dang that thing is bright!

What light do you have next to your winch?

Yukon Joe

Are those vision X next to the winch? How do ya like them? Got any pics of those?

The winch lights are the 5" XMitter Prime XTREME 40 degree wide beams from SDHQ. As with James @ Alternative, SDHQ is a great vendor that I highly recommend supporting! I added them with the winch & hidden mount package as a starting point for my lighting upgrades. They are VERY bright and do well, but IMHO, the 40* light mounted vertically seems to throw more light toward the sky than toward the ditches (notice the pole in Pic 3 vs Pic 2). Not knocking SDHQ in any way, but that's my impression. Due to the limited space in that location, I think a different light is probably the better choice (love the Whelen's, Yukon!!).

Pic 1 - Deer at 105 yds, Stock HID high beams
Pic 2 - Deer at 105 yds, Stock HID high beams, cannons
Pic 3 - Deer at 105 yds, Stock HID high beams, cannons, & XMitters

My original plan was to get the Baja Squadron Fog kit, but the cost kept me from it. Now that I've put a couple of different lights on the truck and used them in my environment, I believe the Baja kit is the way to go. LOTS of light (17k lumens) and plenty of flexibility regarding lense pattern, color, and adjustment. They should take care of fog/snow driving, as well as lighting up the ditches on the backroads. The cannons augment the factory HID high beams nicely down range and provide flexibilty of patterns and colors should my needs change.

Besides, if I don't like any of 'em on the Raptor, I'll just put 'em on the Bronco

Hope that helps!

The antenna is bright, but it's not annoying to me, I don't look over at it ever really

I think my cannons are aimed a bit higher than yours though, my high beams and my light cannons don't overlap pretty much at all, right where the light from my high beams ends is where the light from my cannons start

Thanks, Cleave! I wondered how you had yours set. Do you have the HID's on your truck or the halogens? Wonder if that makes any difference?

I have halogens for now, I think my light cannons are pretty much aimed so they run parallel with the ground, maybe just slightly down

The picture doesn't do the light cannons justice, they light up the far end of the road I was on, at least 1000 feet away, if not more
