Ok, rewatched the reveal video about 10 times in a row. It’s a little more satisfying when you know there is a confirmed R and V8 coming vs. the blue oval balls from this morning.

Going to be a long wait until 2022.

Am 3rd on my dealers list but hope the other two get impatient and want the V6.

It’s clear that a 3.5EB will be the initial power plant, has there been ...anything... confirming it’s NOT the Power Boost variant? Perhaps that’s the 18-Feb Easter Egg. IDK. I see there is no longer a 3.5HO motor available in the top of the line F150 for 2021 and it’s been replaced by the Power Boost.

I was referring to the curved tube-frame receiver hitch shown in the undercarriage pic as opposed to the current square stock straight receiver tube.

.

Agreed, hard to tell but it also looks shorter in length which isn't a big deal if it is unless you want to run the Wilco or another manufacturers tire swing away.

That gets installed in the hitch receiver and I believe the manufacturers stated that it had to be at least 4" in length from the center of the pin hole.

Based on my own observations, I do not believe there will be a Raptor with the PowerBoost option. And for good reason.

On a standard F-150, the weight difference between the 3.5 EcoBoost and PowerBoost is 600lbs. The Raptor is already heavier than a normal F-150 due to the unique frame, suspension, underbody protection, and tires. That 600lbs of extra weight would be detrimental to the Raptor's off road suspension, and would also result in a decrease in both payload and towing capacity. It would weigh as much or more than a TRX with a negligible increase in power. The PowerBoost option also limits the truck to a 30.5 gallon fuel capacity, since the battery and tank occupy the same space under the truck. The 36 gallon tank has been an exemplary Raptor feature, allowing the truck to go 600+ miles between fill ups and reducing range anxiety when off road in remote locations. PowerBoost definitely has it's benefits, but I don't see the case for a vehicle like the Raptor.

It’ll be interesting if they tweaked the 3.5 to surpass the power boost 570 foot pounds of torque.I can’t imagine they would release the raptor with less torque.

I like the more aggressive look of the Gen2, like the 37" tire option and many of the additional upgrades especially this below:

That trail 1 option is really a great use of technology advancement which I haven't read anyone mention.

The 2KW generator would be great for overlanding.

It may come down to how much HP and additional torque the 2021 receives for me to upgrade from my 2019.

Not really interested in the Raptor R.

Thank you for the details, that makes sense especially as it appears the new truck will be equipped with a 36 gallon tank.

Would it? While I understand that it's significantly more than the 400W we currently have, since this isn't a powerboost, it means the engine must be running to access those what's. Maybe I'm wrong, but if you're miles away from civilization, maybe you don't want the truck running for hours at a time to power your fridge or other gear.

I feel similar. The other thought I had is that this is vehicle I really need to see and drive in person before I commit. I can completely see myself falling in love after a test drive, or feeling that I'm perfectly happy with what I got.

Damn, your correct as I was thinking this was same as hybrid truck as far as supplying power to the outlets.
