Has anyone installed an Airhorn on their gen2? I have the retrax bed cover and thought I could mount compressor under the bed cover container and also use it as a regular compressor but where would you place the horn setup? I have an add stealth fighter bumper
I’ve had my Hornblasters Nightmare Edition kit mounted on the spare tire delete bracket for about a year and a half. Best decision I’ve made since taking my Gen 2 home from the dealer. Spliced into OEM horn and through AUX 1 switch. Press the horn on the steering wheel and you have their attention. Flip the AUX off and it’s your regular horn. To date the switch has never been back in the off position. But yes spare tire is mounted flush in my bed under the hard tonneau cover.

Now, I’d like an undercarriage air tank for the setup but again I’m concerned about how much of a beating that would be able to take.
I have my compressor & tank mounted to the frame (no drill even) under my passenger side. Been on there for over a year and have had it buried in mud many times, used its skid plates/brackets to scoop up mud while burying it, covered in salt (from road and salt flats), drug thru the snow, & sand blasted running thru the desert at high speeds and it just keeps on running. Kleinn makes a compressor/tank combo minus the horns, or with horns. I went without horns.

I had the Kleinn 730 Demon Train horn kit on my '17 Raptor. I upgraded the compressor and upgraded from 1/4'' air line solenoids to 1/2''. It cost me over 2100$ for the kit. I liked them better than the Hornblasters kit I had on my F350 since the Kleinn train horns are metal and not plastic. I have them for sale on offerup if anyone is interested. Only installed on my truck for less than 6 months with zero issues. Like new condition.

here is my setup. in the bed i have 4 viair 400c compressors and a 2.5 gallon tank. under the passenger side frame rail i have 2 more 2.5 gallon tanks and above my spare i have a 2 gallon tank. hard to see with the spare in place, but the 2 gallon fits perfectly up there. just for reference, this system has been on my truck for 8 years. the tanks underneath have taken a beating from rocks over the years and the paint has chipped off, but since its above the bottom of the frame, stays safe. i had compressors mounted underneath, but they didnt last, so not a good idea. air tanks? sure no problem there. the horns are facing backwards right above my skid plate. since they are at a downward angle and backwards, they dont catch debris. gen 1, gen 2, gen 3, doesnt matter. theres plenty of room if you get the right parts and out them in the right place. the air compressor setup is great for offroad events. a lot of times at our events, people dont have air and after the dunes gotta fill them up. i have 5 air hoses and can connect all 5 at the same time. goes kinda slow at thst point because airing up 5 people at once, however with my tires at 0psi, (valve stems removed) it fill all 4 of my tires in less than 7 minutes. the train horn was an added bonus for the air system
