I saw that f150leds still doesn't have a Head-Up Display for the gen 3 raptor. Anyone asked when they'll make one? Anyone know of other aftermarket places making a HUD for gen 3 raptor?

Yeah, weird imo. Wouldn't this be pretty darn helpful to see while off-roading? TRX has it as an option, even. Why doesn’t the g3 have HUD is another question. Even my wife’s mom-car has it
Wrongo, about where the Hudway Drive is made. It is made in China. That was one of the many reasons the Drive, that I bought, took more than 2 years to be designed and delivered. It was mostly the Covid restrictions and also (twice!) there is a period of the year where mostly all of China shuts down for nearly a month for some country-wide holidays and vacations.Best Heads Up Displays for Cars (Reviewed December 2024)

READ EVERYTHING. Some projection HUDs are not compatible with pickup trucks because of windshield angle. Some plug into the OBDII port, the GPS models plug into the cigarette lighter, and the OBDII/GPS models plug into both. I have spent hours looking at reviews, product descriptions, ratings, etc. I'm not going to buy one that's made in China (and nearly all of them are products of China) because of the many, many poor ratings and outright horror stories some people have had. Latency problems, accuracy problems, almost universal quality problems, etc. One model caught fire. One OBDII model screwed up the vehicle's fuel/air map. Customer reviews of nearly every model include complaints about the quality of the instructions.
So far I can find only one aftermarket HUD that isn't out of China - the HUDWAY Drive. It's made in Latvia. It's a full-function unit that projects the information onto a screen that's part of the unit. Per the FAQs, it will not work without a smart phone with the HUDWAY ap loaded. $275 shipped from Alabama. https://hudway.co/products/drive They also have a product called HUDWAY Glass that is simply a mount and reflector that enables you to see your smart phone on the Glass's screen. I don't think you get UBDII data with the HUDWAY Glass. Unfortunately, neither interests me. I only want OBDII data on the HUD and I don't want to have to screw with my smart phone before driving.
Additional: The projection models do not project the HUD directly onto the windshield. Modern windshields have built-in polarizing, and that creates a dual image. You must apply a semi-transparent film to the area of the windshield where the unit will project the HUD, and of course you have to redo that if/when you get a new windshield. The projection models also are susceptible to vibration, as the unit may jiggle in its place on the dash - a real issue for off-road vehicles.
