The one I am looking at is a "Certified Pre-Owned" not sure that is worth anything. However they are asking pretty close to MSRP, so unless they come down I will sitback and see what color 2019 brings.

>>>The Gen 2 is a much more upscale vehicle than the Gen 1s, especially early Gen 1s. <<<

Huh? WTF.?.

What is so hard to understand about the difference between a high-$40s vehicle (Gen 1) and a mid $60s vehicle (Gen 2)? Hell, early Gen 1s with the 5.4 were only high 30s invoice.

Most Gen 2s sold are sold fully optioned out and the truck in general packs a LOT more tech than the Gen 1s. Sit in a shitbox plastic Gen 1 interior and then sit in an 802 Gen 2 and it feels like 5 generations of cars have passed between the two.

So sad you over paid. I bought a truck built for the desert, only tech needed is driver experience. You bought a raptor for,,, comfort.?.

Even a base Gen 2 is $57-58k plus, and quite a lot more than a base Gen 1. Is math a hard subject for you?

Don't need to prove to you what I use the Raptor for - do a search and you'll see.

Drive safe.

that explains the price being a lot higher.

Why are you so confused? Or do you think hard plastic interiors are somehow "nice" I mean that distinction alone between Gen 1 and Gen 2 is mentioned in just about every comparison review I've ever read or watched.

If you wanted a desert runner, you definitely overpaid buying a Raptor. Better and cheaper to get a used truck and slap on superior components.
