Good write up Carbon, appreciate the feedback!

I did call Nashville Spring today. They were actually very helpful and friendly by phone. They said adding a leaf spring would increase the payload by 1,000 pounds and will also raise the rear of the truck about 2 inches.

Parts and labor $550, and they can do it while I wait. I'm leaning towards this option, however I hope the 2" lift isn't too much...but I suppose that will get it back pretty much to the factory rake, since I'm on mid-perch now.

What thickness leaf are they going to use?

Keep us posted. I want to get mine done before Time Attack in a few weeks.

I'm not sure what the specs of the spring were. I could tell they were busy and I didn't bother taking too much of their time after they said they can do it. Maybe since it is a spring specialty business, they might have a couple of spring options to choose from...something I can discuss further in person.

I did not ask what they put in there. It was $300 buck cash installed. One of the local guys here in Chicago knew them and recomended them and had his truck done there. I just went with it. Make sure they paint them befoe they install, I need to clean them up and paint them. They look strange.

Yeah, I remember reading that the spring should be painted before installing...hopefully I'll remember to carry a can of flat black with me.

I was hoping to be able to run by the spring shop this week to get it all done, but I'm not going to be able to because of my work schedule... so most likely I'm looking at next week or shortly thereafter.

I did the Mid Perch mid last weekend and I'm finally dropping it off later today to get aligned. Coincidently they also do springs at this shop. I'm going to have them add one to the rear and see how it goes/looks.

Well, i just picked my truck up...

The alignment cost $69 cash and "aligned perfectly."

The bad/unfortunate: he didn't have any rear springs due to the Raptor having two bolt holes and he only had ones with a single hole? He said it would be too hard to try and drill a second through the steel.

He's going to contact Summit Racing to see what they have for an 'add-a-leaf' for the Raptor...

So I'm back to square one looking for a rear leaf.

Suggestions???
