Figured I'd post this here..

Has anyone noticed boost cutting out when under mild throttle just starting out after startup? Only happens then. I may need new plugs but wanted some opinions, just quick cutout.

Now that I think about it, I really shouldn't even be under boost with that amount of throttle..

I found rolling into throttle quickly works best vs. just punching it to the floor , you will get a lag but i think its more of the drive by wire throttle deciding what to do when hammering to floor. Drive by wire is a different beast , noticed that when i bought my 2010 raptor brand new vs my cable actuated throttle on 02 lightning.
Agreed w/ this sometimes partial throttle response seems snappier than a full WOT mash. Obvi tune helps but this is still exhibited w/ a tune too just better…there’s a reason you brake boost a turbo vehicle when racing “for real”.

All that being said, gotta also remember there’s a whole other layer of “drivetrain preservation Nannies” embedded into the software, alterations in torque mgmt & shift Tq & pulled timing etc are the main reasons why you’re seeing gen3 stock 3.5HO trucks dyno much higher in TQ

If you want the snappiest acceleration response off the line whether tuned or not I think the recipe is: TC off AND stability control/advance trac or whatever is has to be off as well + 4A + slight brake boost or prime the throttle by first rolling into the throttle before mashing it to floor

I have a Banks Pedal Monster on my 22. I have run pedal commander in the past on other trucks but wanted to try the Pedal Monster since I bought the 100k warranty and don’t wanna get a tune to ruin that warranty. Can say that the Pedal Monster does make driving it much more pleasurable. Biggest difference between the Banks and PC is when you go in reverse the pedal goes to stock settings. Sport mode on my truck with the Pedal Monster any setting higher than city mode makes it hold onto gears a bit long if your not constantly romping it. But track mode is insane.... holy hell the truck moves.

I run in city mode half way up and I’m super happy. Transmission behaves as it should now. No lag at all.
