After a day of off roading Sunday, my AC blower makes a vibrating noise. The higher the blower speed, the louder it gets. Sound is coming from passenger foot well.

Has anyone had this problem? Do you think I broke a mounting tab or something?

Make sure all vents in the truck are open including the ones in the back. Mine will do that is the vents are shut in the back of the console

I'd crawl under there and check all the ducts and make sure all the bolts are right I had a duct that was lose a long time ago and it would rattle like that

I opened all the vents and no difference. I tried looking under the dash and did not see anything. I tried to hold the blower to see if I could get the noise to stop and could not. No matter where I applied pressure, it did not get better.

How likely is it that a blade on the blower broke?

Probably has something caught in the fan blades. Not likely a blade is broke. I've seen something as simple as a twig or leaf throw them out of balance.

You would have to pull the blower motor assembly out which isn't bad to do. It's by the passenger kick panel towards the fire wall. It has one electrical connector and 3 (iirc) screws holding it in. From there you just maneuver it out towards the floor board.

I was going to just take it to the dealer. Tried to schedule today for next week and they wanted it for a whole day.

Decided give it a try myself and it was very easy! The blower assembly came right out. There was a piece of the sound insulation from behind the dash inside.

Thanks for the help!
