I am going to paint my grill black, like the rest don't care for the grey. Searched but can't figure out how to remove the grill. Also as for the flares I think I am leaving them grey because they match the outer ring of my wheels. What do you think? Thanks

If you going to paint the Grill, you mightest as well do the flarers as well. At least that is what I would do.

Removing the grille is easy. There are some bolts that secure it to the underside of the hood on the inside and then unbolt it from the vertical brackets on each side. Unplug your LED markers, disconnect the front camera (if applicable).

Once you have it off you will need to remove the LEDs from the grille, 2 small nuts each, and then the bottom bracket that runs the bottom of the grille.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago. Look down towards the bottom of the exterior mods 1st page and you can look at how mine came out. Very simple. Have patience, light coats, and spray at all angles. I thought it was a great change to the truck. Good luck!

^^ true statements. If your gonna do plastidip, spray A LOT on there. Its easier to clean off that way. Thats how I did mine first and sprayed it too light. Ended up peeling it off so I could paint it and it was a major pain in the ass. I would just suggest painting it first. I even bought a sheet of black vinyl and laid it over the "FORD" and cut it out so it (kinda) matches the paint.

Also, once you get the 5 or 6 bolts off the top of the grille, the grille itself has 2 alignment tabs that just slide out. Heres how mine turned out:
