Well as much as I hated to I cancelled the order with my local dealer and bought one out of state. I really wanted to develop a good relationship with the dealer but now all I've done is probably **** them off. I ordered on 5/6 and just gave a $500 deposit by CC. They said if the order is accepted by Ford when they get into work tomorrow it's non-refundable. I personally think this is BS because we have NOTHING in writing at all. They were telling me they thought 6-8 weeks delivery when I ordered but had never ordered a Raptor before - yeah, we're in the boonies - and I told them I just couldn't live with 13 +/- weeks leadtime. Hell, I'm 67 and need all the time I can get.

I would love to use them for service but don't want to be treated like a second class citizen.

Sorry for venting but for $500 more than the local dealer I got the same silver color but now w/ orange/black interior and the side graphics - not installed - anyone want them at a real good price?

I'm glad that you found a reasonable solution.

And I'm 90% certain that they have to refund the $500 to you.

Well the dealer was very nice and said they would welcome my service and parts business in the future and my card would not be charged. I will definitely go back to them.

Well my big change is still coming. My truck is still sitting in Alabama awaiting shipment to me. 'Course I sold my Avalanche which gets picked up tomorrow so I'm down to driving either my tractor or a Corvette. At least it finally stopped raining after 2 solid weeks. Still, I'll take that anytime over what those folks in MO and OK have gone through with tornadoes.

Have already received the F1 cover, vent visors, Raptor rocker decals and driving and fog lights. Light bar should be here next week.

After being a Chevy guy for the last 50 years or so I ordered a 2011 Silver Super Crew on 5/6. Loaded except for graphics packages and orange/black seats.

I had found a loaded orange one at a dealer and drove it. Just loved the ride compared to my Avalanche Z71 but the dealer ****** me around so after looking about everywhere and deciding I didn't want to pay to ship one half way across the country I ordered one from my local dealer.

Dealer will put in the bedliner and I'll install the hard folding tonneau as soon as I decide which one. Same with light bar and lights which I hope to get help with on this forum.

Be talking to you guys. Hope you don't mind a Chevy guy joining in ( I still have 2 Vettes).

I was even worse. I saw the damn video on Top Gear, and bought one before I ever saw one in person. Sold the Chevy. I think it may be a disease.

Actually, I will tell you how bad this Raptor has bitten me. I canceled an order for a S63 AMG, and sold a 67 Shelby Cobra so that I could go all out building the Raptor.
