A big change coming

After being a Chevy guy for the last 50 years or so I ordered a 2011 Silver Super Crew on 5/6. Loaded except for graphics packages and orange/black seats.

I had found a loaded orange one at a dealer and drove it. Just loved the ride compared to my Avalanche Z71 but the dealer ****** me around so after looking about everywhere and deciding I didn't want to pay to ship one half way across the country I ordered one from my local dealer.

Dealer will put in the bedliner and I'll install the hard folding tonneau as soon as I decide which one. Same with light bar and lights which I hope to get help with on this forum.

Be talking to you guys. Hope you don't mind a Chevy guy joining in ( I still have 2 Vettes).

Welcome. I used to be a Chevy guy and then went to Volkswagen during college. So, I'm pretty much going Axis to Allies now. I don't think anyone here cares too much about what other rides you drive or have driven. I can at least say I'd love to have a 'vette.

For the folding toneau, most will probably recommend the Bakflip F1 and if you just want lighting rather than protection and/or improved approach angle the Ford Performance parts light bar isn't a bad solution. Good luck with the wait and let the mod stockpiling begin!

You aren't the first and a doubt you will be the last.
It's like the Raptor is that bipartisan politician that just keeps reaching across the isle....I find it fascinating that the hardest of hardcore Chevy and Dodge guys keep coming aboard. Who could ever have imagined?! It's very cool.

BTW, I noticed that you ordered your truck loaded up. I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news but you might not be able to get the NAV.

Don't tell me that. It would be a definite deal breaker. That would mean none of the trucks, etc could get nav. Will call my dealer in am.

Mine is due on 23 May and I got the nav. I have driven chevy and jeeps for 20+ yrs but I believe Ford absolutely got this right. I am looking forward to a truck built to be a truck and with style and enough power and features to make the money worthwhile.
This is definately a bipartisan vehicle!!
