GEN 2 802a cluster swap; any difference b/t 17 and 18?

I ordered an 8 inch cluster to put in my 18 800a (currently have a 4.2). The company I ordered from requested my vin and I had to fib and use my buddy's vin which is a 17 802a. The company called me back and said that the 17 vin matches a totally differ part number. It is however, an 8 inch cluster. Is there a difference between the two years? Thanks.

I can’t give you a technical reply, but I owned a 17 and now a 19. The only difference I see is placement of the auto stop start button and camera button.

^^ It's more cosmetic than anything but you gain a couple of things to monitor. I personally want to see a the boost reading.

Same. basically the only reason im upset i didnt get the 802. Everything else im 100% ok with. deff on the to do list.
