suddenly everyone thinks they own a 4 wheel drive truck. I had to weave in and out of this to get home. People were asking for help.....but shoot, ain't nobody got time for that! .....I actually would have helped had it not been like 100 vehicles in the same situation......It was kinda fun to watch everyone stare at you as you just drove on by.

shoot! I just remembered I need to get a picture for Novembers contest.....

I have no problems helping....but its not like there wasn't adequate warning, everything in the city was closed....so when you think you can go out and drive to walmart and end up in the ditch, im less sympathetic. They shut down I-70 in missouri because too many people abandoned their cars in the middle of the freeway and just walked to local restaurants and stuff. Come on. The plows couldnt plow because the roads are covered with abandoned cars....so it looks like we are in this situation for a while.

Every now and again the situation arises and you realize how right Darwin was. Stupid people breed stupid children and if your not smart enough to stay home when they warn you, well Darwinisim should take its natural course. I get feel sympathy for those poor lost souls eye balling you drive by without a hitch. Kind of like women and children on the Titanic watching all the bodies bobing up and down in the ocean. Put on a smiley face becuase sometimes shit happens. But I am the poor dumb basterd that stops to help and then gets mobbed by 100 people trying to get me to help them too. I have a responsibilty to my family to come home everyday and when I leave in the morning thats my number one responsibility for the day... Then I think as I drive by... "Sucks to be you shoulda bought a Raptor like I did"....

I would have helped both women and anyone with kids in the vehicle. I would hope someone would do the same for my wife or family if in that situation. Impossible to help everyone I know. Sorry your feelings of "nobody got time for that". No offense just my values...

I get where you're coming from. I'm pretty sure the OP would help someone out if they were in actual danger and stuck out in the middle of nowhere. But as he stated, these people knew what the conditions were and went out there completely unprepared. If they at least had chains on than I would probably help in the same situation. In the end either the OP would have too spend all day helping people or the people who're unprepared would have to wait all day for professional help. Which seems right?

I know what you mean... I felt bad driving by people in the "Raptor lane" (unplowed shoulder/lanes). Makes me appreciate this truck in armageddon/bugout . While everyone is sitting waiting for someone to save them. Us Raptor owners can drive right on by and make it to our destination..

It is not like these people did not know this storm was coming.. 8" of snow just didn't magically appear.. If you are driving a civic with bald tires then stopping in the middle of the highway because your wipers are frozen up and defrost doesn't work. Then getting stuck and causing everyone behind you to stop and get stuck too. You deserve to be stuck for you stupidity to drive your craptasic civic with 3 foot spoiler!

I passed a bunch of idiots here tonight too and it has only been snow/sleeting for 3 hours.
My employees were asking me how many off them I could pick up at a time in the morning. Some already decided they could not have a snow day off since if they did call, I would just come get them anyway. :D
