When / if the 7.0 comes out and it is direct and port injected as they say it will be the 3.5 Eco Raptors price will tank. A direct injected large V8 will be out of control. Boost will make it even better!

Until then I'm sticking with the 6.2!

Smart move. I heard that the 7.0 could be here as soon as the Gen 4 model.

My boosted 6.2 is more than getting the job done until then!

Had a standard eco f150 and grenaded 2 engines in 60k miles. (lost some faith in them) Also had horrible mpg. Went to dealer and drove 2014 Roush Rap and 2017 Eco Rap. Liked the Roush more so I bought it.

LOL, Gen 4 probably won't even have an internal combustion engine and if it does, it will be a tiny three-banger range extender. But the 1,000 ft/lb of torque at 0 rpm will be a real kick in the pants.

Haha. Butt-hurt is Strong...

I'm not sure why everyone is 6.2 vs 3.5 so much. Buy what works for you. For me I wanted Horsepower, sound, and sheer grunt. Mileage is really not a concern of mine as any crew cab truck with 35's truck does not get "great" mileage. 3-4 mpg better if you drive like a grandma. If you prioritize MPG over horsepower that is your choice. I don't put many miles on and use it to tow for snowmobile trips and the occasional truck pull.

To me 6.2 boosted was the best reliable horsepower, and best warranty (certified used 100k warranty). More so than anything I am excited for what the 7.0 will be like with boost. I have no interest in bashing the 3.5. It just wasn't for me. Overall we know it is a great powerplant that makes plenty of power.

Im not butthurt at all, like I give a **** what someone else drives. Its the hypocrisy of bitching about the 3.5s fuel mileage as a downfall, then stating you drive a boosted 6.2, ( do you get single digit mileage?) and THEN, now youre doubling down by saying you don't care about fuel mileage, after you ******* about the 3.5's fuel mileage.....
