61% oil if remaining, last changed 6 months ago. Doing a 2,500 mile road trip. Change oil before or after?

Just change it, mileage will be better & turbos will be happy

I recently changed my oil at 5.1k with 24.1k on the odometer. I just did my 1st Blackstone Lab oil sample and the readings on the old oil came back great. The results are attached. For that test, it was on the specified Motorcraft synthetic blend oil. On this change, I went to Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic. I think I'm gonna go about 5.5-6k until my next change. Road trips with highway miles are easy on the oil, so I would wait on the change for my truck.
If I were you, I'd change it now and send off a sample to Blackstone. If the readings come back healthy, start extending the mileage between oil changes. No need to waste time & money on oil changes that aren't necessary.

Change the oil now. Change it ( and the filters ) early and often. Oil is cheap compared to a truck.
