The GEICO MBI looks pretty good and is likely what I will go with. Already use them for insurance. Policy appears to offer broader coverage than Ford as well as choice of service location. Buy 14 months in so I'm covered 8 years, net 5 more than the Factory bumper to bumper.

I cancelled my warranty 1 week after having it and got my money back. I decided to mod the hell out of it. Would have been wasted money for me

I have purchased 2 Ford ESP’s from Anderson & Koch Ford. You can get them online and they are typically way cheaper than any other Ford dealer sells them for. You can get an exact quote for the mileage & years you want on their website.

My 18 SCREW has a built date of week 2/18, so this was an awesome post to find for me.

1360 for 8 year 100K mile with 200 bucks deductible is peanuts.

Much appreciated.

I'm an Advisor for Ford and I have never heard of or seem a true Bumper to Bumper extended warranty. Trim items won't be covered, hoses typically aren't covered, and other items. People either miss hear the salesman or he says it's LIKE a bumper to bumper warranty and says the word LIKE very quietly in hopes you don't hear it or they flat out lied to you.

This is exactly the case. All of them have significant exclusions that can set you back some big dollars over time. For me it was still worth buying for the piece of mind on the big stuff.

I'll have no regrets even if I get to the end of my ownership and the warranty never paid a dime to cover a thing.

I completely understand I'm all for them as long as people know what they're signing and what it actually covers. I'll be getting one myself!

GEICO MBI appears to have broader coverage, check it out. That's precisely why I'm going for it.

Ya but he's a Ford service advisor. They know everything.

I'm great at what I do, I do it professionally at a high volume store. I never sarcastically act like I know more about your job with no real experience what so ever. This is what I do for a living and I know what I'm talking about so a little respect would be appreciated.

As I mentioned, best to look into a quality extended warranty and make sure you read through it all and understand it. I've seen a lot of garbage 3rd party warranties and a lot of people who paid a lot of money for something they didn't even know what they were signing. I've had good luck with Geico's policy, the best I've seen is Fords ESP though. Easiest to use as well.

If I purchase a Ford vehicle, do I have to buy the ESP at the time of purchase, or could I wait say 2-1/2 yrs then purchase it for added coverage. Any automatic cost increase if you wait (aside from any annual cost increases across the board from the company)?
