6.2L gen1; Name this noise please?

Purge valve selonoid. Feel it for a pulse. Pretty common and sounds like that. It on the throttle manifold drivers side.

It's the purge valve thumping. Yes you can feel it without a doubt. I can't believe how loud that is from something that appears to not have much internally. I am looking at the Ford one now for $54.27. Hopefully the new one knocks out this sound for a bit. Thank you all for the time and solution.

Welp I swapped it out with the Motorcraft valve and zero thumping so far. Autozone gave me my money back too.

It’s not a big deal they break. I did a bunch of front end work and a set of headers back in February. Did a shakedown run, retorqued everything and put the tools away. Took my daughter to drop off her car at copart and noticed the sound of my second purge valve tapping to the beat.

With the heat out here I will probably hear the noise again but hopefully not that loud. It's my understanding the cheap one was working though loud asf. Gotta love the epa! 16 plugs is awesome
