DMH. If you wanna hear mine we can meet up somewhere.

xBX,

When I went back to DHM's website, all I could find was this single cutout...

$179 for a single E-Cutout without the "Flow Tech Race Ready" pipe...

The DMH pipes I had on my Z06 were oval shaped, and I got them from the same website... this was my Z06 up on the lift (the Saran wrap/tape was to protect the nose for the 45 minute trip to Vengeance Racing in *******, GA).

xBX, so on the Raptor, I should only need ONE e-cutout, right?

Where did you mount yours? I've got two CATS that run into the Resonator, then that runs into the single MUFFLER.

I was thinking to have the e-cutout installed just in front of the Resonator.

Who did your install? I'd like to have the e-cutout wired into one of the AUX switches, is that possible?

xBX,

I just looked at the video again... apparently the 2010 5.4 Raptor does not have a RESONATOR, in the first post (video at the bottom showing the DMH cutout), that's exactly where my Resonator is... so I guess, I'd have to mount it a little forward of it?

What size did you get? 2", 2.5", 3", 3.5", or 4"?

Ok--

Yes, I have the 6.2L so I dont know about the whole resonator deal.

I got the 3" cut out. Had it welded in. I figured 3" because the size of the exhaust in that section is 3". I mounted mine between the muffler and resonator. Basically right below the passenger door. Tomorrow i can get you pics of where in the pipe its located.

1 cut out it enough since its a single pipe back.

How many pipes do you have going back? I have a single.

DMH sends you enough wire length for a Raptor, just specifiy for them that you have a Raptor. I mounted the cutout switch below the steering wheel. Its very easy to operate and access. Ive heard of guys using an AUX switch but this needs constant power and then has a switch with a spring that prevents you from opening it too much. I didnt get the oval but rather a full flowmaster with a turn down added to the end.

Thats the weld and the turn down.. I will get you more pictures in the AM.

BDRAG,

So, the only mod you did to the exhaust was to swap out the OEM muffler for a "Flowmaster 44", right?

How does it sound compared to our other member "Ducati's" 5.4L Raptor?QUOTE]

Its sorta like that. Its a little deeper than that but its a sound clip. If ya listen to all those in the first post it sounds a lot like the MAGNAFLO clip.

The 44 has a single 3" inlet and a dual 2 1/2" outlet. So all you do is cut out the OEM muffler and fab one inlet tube and two short exit tubes and weld it in. I have the SCREW and there is a resinator can about 2 feet fwd of the Muffler, I left it in. Add a support rod to pick up the OEM muffler support bushing to the 44 and your making decent sounding noise.

MAKE SURE the shop fits the new sections OVER the OEM tubing or buts it up flush and not swedge the new section down into the OEM pipe. Mine was done that way first and it seemed to restrick the flow at around 4500- 5500 rpm. Had a slight flat spot. That went away when I had them remake the sections to fit OVER the OEM piping. All is good now.

Its sounds as good decelling from 50 mph down into 2nd gear as it does accellerating to 50 in second gear. HAhahaaaaaaa. For the money it sounds really decent. Deep when your putsing around but when ya jump on it, IT BARKS! Sound bad ass under a big underpass. You jump on it and heads turn and it sounds very smooth and even. No burbbaling or poping just smooth old school race sounds emmit from the motor.

Are you talking about this video?

If so thats my raptor and it is a 2010 6.2L. They started putting those resonators on in 2011. Mine is a 3" oval and I got it from Maryland speed as a dual system knowing that one was going to my roommates raptor. I put it in myself along with my roommates. Very easy to do!

Those of you who have replaced the factory muffler on the 6.2L, would you please do me a favor? I need you to look through the muffler from the intake side and see if you can see straight through to daylight through the exhaust outlets. I'm trying to determine if the factory muffler is a straight-through unit. If it is, I won't replace it until it needs to be replaced. Thanks in advance!

The factory **** is absolutely not a straight threw design

I'm guessing it's a two or three chamber at minimum
