Well with all this said, I'll wait. I have a CG lock in the mail. I'll post how I like it later.

What if I told you, that someone is working on this as we speak?

Would a 'race' style seat be something people would be interested in?

Assuming it keeps the electric position/heat/ac. And isn't some ridiculous price. Re-shaped factory seats or something completely new?

Otherwise, there's plenty of race seats on the market already.

I'm looking for a job in the SW, if that works out I'll likely be offroad a lot more than I am now and would be more willing to trade creature comfort for usefulness.

Actually, no. My Raptor is the only 4-wheel vehicle I own. I don't pretend to be anything, least of all a racer in control of a trophy truck. Aren't race seats uncomfortable, don't recline, don't fold forward, and are otherwise purpose-built for racing?

The only problem I have with the stock seatbelts is how they keep ratcheting tighter when offroading hard. Shit gets to where I can't breathe. lol

I'm gonna try Motomute's solution of putting a big notebook clip on the belt where it goes into the door to keep it from getting so tight.

I think the CG Lock takes care of that issue. Won't know for sure until mine is delivered and I get it installed.

Not necessarily. There's plenty of cars whose factory seats offer much more lateral support, recline, and are still plenty comfy. I did several cross country trips in my Evo IX with the factory Recaros without issue.

Mostly, I'm just used to more lateral support from a seat, vs the sliding side to side that happens in the truck.
