Don't like the answer then go somewhere else no need to be rude.
Your 4WD system is getting too much traction, creating binding, just like it would during normal operation on dry pavement.

Or its entirely broken. You choose what you want to believe.
Until then, have a great day.

Better?
What answer did you give me prior to this post??..... your first post was "BINGO" your second post told me i dont know when the truck is supposed to be used in 4 wheel drive..... lets talk about rude!! ...........Did you read the whole post??????? maybe you don't know what icey roads are??.....ive owned this truck since new have driven many roads with ice and mud without this happening, but to humor you i will go out here in a bit, we have 8 inches of new snow, ill see if it does it then..........what say you all knowing NOT so Clevergirl is it gonna pop??? Maybe see what kind of tires are being used to KNOW if there is to much traction.....you just want to play big girl and hide behind your keyboard belittling people great life you got there

You're right! Now I'm positive your Torsen front diff is broken from carrying around your massive ego all these years.

Welcome to the internet, next time call Ford.

Also, its from Jurassic Park you idiot.

And "icey" is not a word.

Ass.

Hello All, i have a 2011 Raptor 6.2 the other day i was in 4 wheel and went to turn on a ice packed road, all of a sudden in a left turn there was a loud POP. I stopped and shifted out of 4x4 and then back in.......it felt like it went in, a slight thump like always but it made the loud POP again when i went to turn........it seems ok going in a straight line but turn the wheel it POPs......if i shift out of 4 wheel it runs fine in 2 wheel. Any help is appreciated !!!!!

Pat
Had a very similar issue. Needed IWEs, mine had split. I could go in a straight line but if I got on the throttle I’d also have a pop. Changed to IWE deletes and all good here.

I'd have suggested that if he didn't mention turning, but here we are.

When I turned it would pop real bad. It was much worse turning because it put a lot more stress on the IWES. When I took mine out they fell apart in my hands.
Mine pops when turning (unless i'm spinning) but acts fine everywhere else, just like all my other 4WD vehicles. That being said I don't trust IWE's at all. Glad to see you had success removing them.

I’d highly recommend changing to deletes lol so much easier and when I pulled the old IWEs I realized they’re mostly plastic. The deletes are metal and so far are silent going down the road. Didn’t even notice popping in turns anymore like I did so no more skipping. Even on pavement when I forgot to turn off 4x4 lol
