When this gets figured out its going to be KICK ASS!
Would it be possible to trim the projector shroud to fit the contours of the reflector.

My ballasts are for the most part completely exposed due to my tube bumper... No problems at the Raptor Run or yesterday when the rain from the run finally made its way to New Orleans and DUMPED on us while shooting the dealer event for new 1199 Panigale... (see above)

If you have any reservations about these lights you shouldn't. If you were to ever have any issues I'm sure Dawson (Ducati) would stand behind his product and make it right. This is the single most useful mod I have done to my truck and honestly it will make you a safer driver in dark conditions. The way these lights kick light to the side is NIGHT AND DAY different from the stocks.

Hahaha, wow bro, what a small world. 2 of my best friends I grew up with who work for Ducati dealerships were at that event test riding the 1199. So were you a chase truck taking pics of them ?

Absolutely, PM me with any questions you may have.

Theres a couple ways to go about it. Basically its so big that the gaps would look unfinished. That guy from sick hid's does it with his F150 builds, Im assuming for the same reason.

Ill take some pics so you can see what I mean. Im not giving up on it but I wont sell something that looks like it was just thrown in there.

So heres the 460 next to the MH1.... yeah, totally different animal. Its pretty apparent why it outperforms every other projector out there.

heres where Im at now, you have to cut most of the reflector out and Im still having trouble fitting it.

What I was talking about is a vacuum formed acrylic from the projector lens to the outside of the reflector, or something like that. It just looks too "hacked" if I were to leave it like this

Like I said, I wont give up on it and hopefully find a high quality way to finish it that is reasonably priced. I know I could throw a FX-R in there and be done with it but those are a dime a dozen and in my opinion the MH1 has a better output pattern. Ive searched the web and have yet to find anyone who has put a LS460 in a F150. I will educate myself on different types of vacuum forming and come up with something, its just going to take a while, not enough hours in the day. lol.

what part looks bad about it? I think it looks fine..but maybe i'm not seeing something. If anything it really looks OEM to me

Small world! What day were they? Today was the first nice day so the guys on Monday and Tuesday got hosed... literally! We haven't done any car to car shots yet, just stationary. I was rescuing my biz partner from a track station who was held hostage by the rain. Everyone I have met from Duc has been super nice... seems like a great company to work for! Especially now that Audi wants to buy them.

Yeah trust your gut on those Ducati. They look like the eyes of a Sponge Bob cartoon character when they scream and go all over the top. But you gave it a go, now you know. Bigger is not always better.

I dont know man, there doesnt look like any issue from head on, is there a large gap visible from the side or something? I am sure some cheap flexible black plastic, and a sodering iron could turn that gap into blackness. I dont think you need to vacum form your own plastic to make it "perfect". Just my two cents, id rather have the performance and deal with a bit of gap then not. Just my two cents.

Off Topic a bit - Why spend the money on the HIDs and the front bumper just to let the flares stay gray? (Oh, and black skull caps on the mirrors)
