Just went for a test drive, I understand why they cost so much, the width on these things is pretty ridiculous. Coming from a great performing projector, the MH1, I gotta admit Im blown away by the performance of the 460.

I planned on keeping this set for myself but they already sold to a member. Ill update the first post tomorrow with pics and pricing but as of now the LS460 is available for order.

Im by no means a pro photog and the night shots are definitely overexposed so... Ill just let the picks speak for themselves.

They look better in the housing too. Fill it up more.

You do good work..... And good may not be a good enough word either.

The morimoto mini looks so small and lost in the Ford housing but that 460 fills it up and suits it better. These might even look better then the new Raptor projectors.
Are you using the Osram bulbs and how expensive are those bulbs.

There is no auto level or turn steer retro, the cost would be ridiculously expensive due to all the sensors that would need to be installed.

These projectors are OEM European Lexus LS460 Bixenon with a STI-R clear lens upgrade and my custom solenoid mod. The reason they are so expensive is because they are arguably the best performing projector available. There are a lot of different projectors out there, the top end stuff is by Lexus, Acura and Infinity. You can check them out here - HID Projectors from The Retrofit Source Inc - the high end stuff is under "VIP Projectors"

Obvisiouly this is not a option for everyone but I do have several ppl who want the "best of the best". The modded LS460 Bi-X with Osram SVS(4300K) or CBI(5000K) is pretty much as good as it gets in the retro world.

That makes sense! The ISF Lexus I had (hints to the User name) had some great optics on the lights. It was very wide and great for curvy back roads. The turning and auto level was icing on the cake.

I'm so happy with the stock to retro upgrade that words and pics don't do it justice. I can't imagine it getting better without seeing them in person. I can't wait til I have to go back home where the sky is so clean and clear from no ambient light to really get the full effect of these lights. I will take some night shots down on the river and you will really be able to see these lights spread out through the trees.

Also, going to the lake this weekend my buddy was driving in front of me saying how NASTY the truck looks with the LEDs behind the housing. He could have swore the damn truck was going to transform into a transformer and eat his mustang! :waytogo:

Wow, my lights look great, Ducati!!!

:mwah1::ROFLJest:

Thanks bro, glad you like them

Is it possible to black out the shrouds of the 460s?

yeah, they are clear so it might look cool painting the inside. Im working on getting just a set of shrouds to experiment on, they are hard to come by without the projectors.
