I'm glad you're here and participating... but that crap stops now. We're here to discuss the issue, not flame eachother. If you disagree, cool! Explain why by discussing the issue(s) involved. Not by attacking the member raising them. This isn't that sort of forum.

Last and only warning.

Good point. I have no problem with that approach. In discussing this issue though, there has been a CONSTANT inference that these trucks were recklessly, irresponsibly over-driven like they were trophy trucks. Is that not a passive attack on the very group of drivers that brought up the topic in the spirit to receive SUPPORT and information from this community of forum users?

I thought this forum WOULD be different from the others. It's difficult just sit idle and let these kind of comments fly by.... please accept my apology on this one.

In what way? Did you think we'd buy into the claims that Ford's F-150 frame has a design flaw? Did you think we'd support you and the other frame benders who want Ford to fix their bent frames?

Or did you think it was OK to come on here and tell one of our members to "****"? That's allowed on other forums as long as you don't insult a moderator or the head moneymaker in charge.

Thanks Dan. I'll take it from here.

Thanks 'RPE. I see where you're coming from. I'd probably be pissed myself if I had bent my frame and was constantly accused of being reckless or irresponsible.

I guess I'm asking that in response to those claims, any driver who was involved and who feels they were not being reckless or irresponsible, say so. Defend yourself even. No problem there. Like I said, I probably would do the same.

Where we are different as a forum is that we (the staff) ask that it doesn't go further than that. There's a difference between a heated debate and a flame war. Heated debates are welcome... flame wars aint. I admit its sometimes a subtle and razor thin line, but none the less it is a line we try to draw and ask not be crossed... indeed it's in that way we most certainly are different. Makes my job a living hell sometimes even

I think you 'get' all that based on your post, but I just wanted to be really clear about it; you don't need to stand by and let yourself get beat up. Go ahead and state your case... just do it on the facts and keep the attacks to a bare minimum if at all. And if you feel you are being beat on personally, don't respond but instead report the post and we (the staff) will take care of it.

Ok? As far as I'm concerned its over and alls good moving forward.

Guys- Maybe change this thread's title to "Frame issues- whose fault is it anyway?" instead of "4-link". I'm about to do a cage and link setup, and when I saw the thread title I got excited. briefly...i thought i might gain some insights into who's done what, how they have adjusted shocks for daily driving, how the body roll is on a paved canyon road, trailing arm design/length,... motivational pictures, etc.. instead its a tangent about how strong the frame is, and a debate about just-ho-hard people drive a stock truck in the desert expecting it to perform like a race truck. And the 2017 raptor has a beefier frame, so there's one angle on an answer.

:)
