My dealer just called me and said they have 3 allocations and only 1 allocation for a 37inch package.

The other two allocations have to order the 35inch package.

Apparently Ford has limited capacity to produce the 37inch package this year. So its an allocation within the allocation?

Anyways, I am 3rd on the list, guy number 1 picked the 37inch allocation so I have to decide if I want a 21 raptor in 35s or wait until 22 for the 37inch package.

After months of waiting, it just keeps getting more dissapointing.

Anybody else hearing the same?

I’m considering getting a 21 barebones and roll with it for a few months and get a 22 with 37s. Don’t think I would lose much(paying 1500 over right now, but it’s local )

Yeah I might do the something similar and resell. I picked up a TRX last month so I have something to hold on to, but could make some money late in the year on the 35inch barebone Raptor... if it ever comes in.

I am so confused here. Your dealer has 3 allocations, only 1 for 37s and someone else took it, so you are going to settle for a barebones 35s? Why not go to another dealer with allocations for 37s? Is there some reason you are tied to this one dealer?

Well my dealer has about 15 preorders, and 1 allocation for the 37inch. Every other dealer already has multiple people in line and most dealers will not get a single 37 inch allocation. Apparently the entire Chicagoland network of Ford dealers has receiver TWO (2) 37inch orders out of all of their 2021 allocations. What are my chances to find another dealer at MSRP with the 37inch available with such high demand?

Hot take: Ford does not really want to sell too many 37s packages.

They probably also have supply and logistics limitations to the 37". It's gotta be high margin so I can't imagine they want to purposely limit production.

What makes you think it's high margin?

What about warranty issues and maintenance costs?
