I guess I better go to discount tire and try to get some of these now.

Not a fan of the new BFG A/T model coming out (as far as looks go) and if BFG's engineers figured out how to measure their tires correctly then we're all screwed trying to find a 36.3" tire.

Good luck, no one can get these tires now. I'll sell you my slightly used BFG 37s for $500 a tire...

That's not a bad thing. The only thing these tires are good for is street driving or easy snow driving.

They are horrible in any kind of mud. And chunk bad in any stones.

I have 23k on my stockers and they're about ready to be taken off. During hunting season they would clog up with mud and just spin. And they chunked sometime in there as well. I might get them studded while there's some tread left and just use them as winter tires.

I've been searching for a lighter mud tire than the Toyos, but that's what I'll probably end up with. Unless I do fenders, 37's aren't worth it.

YMMV.

I remember someone posting about a very light tire about a 37s tire that was a few lbs lighter than the 35s. Can I find it?? Hell no, anyone have it???

It was probably the Mickey Thompson Deegan 38. 37's are listed at on 57lbs but the actual weight after I put one on the scale was 73lbs. Still not terrible but not no 57lbs...

The KM2's are only 70lbs but they're closer to a true 37" unlike the smaller AT

Well as stated way back in the beginning of the thread, the stock tire compound is soft and chunks. The replacement 37s have a harder compound and are less likely to chunk. My stock 35s chunked the first time i went off road, bad. But my new 37s, which have been off road a couple times now for about 300-400 hundred miles, zero chunking. They damn near look the fresh, not one chunk.

Now to add to the help of not chunking, i will have to say airing down has also helped. You really need to air down when going off-road. 40+ psi off-road is not good for the tires or the performance off-road. I air down to 27 psi and i kick up WAY less rock and have such a smoother ride. Plus you get more traction.

As for mud, i avoid mud, it's not fun to play in or clean up afterwards.
