Because of 6lbs per tire? Would you do it going from 35bfg to 35 toyo?

I don't know the weights of all the tires, but I'm sure the 37" Toyo MT is significantly heavier than the 37" BFG. I have a friend with 35" Toyo MT and my arms tell me that even those are substantially heavier than the 37" BFG.

With that said, it's not only the weight of the tire that justifies regearing... it's the diameter of the tire that plays into the absolute final drive ratio. Larger tires are going contribute to a lower absolute final drive ratio and accelerate the truck slower. Like Hockster said, a 37" tire on a Raptor is damn near Raptor with stock tires and 3.73 gears.

Bajasvt i understand on the diameter now. If it was just weight in discussing the bfg's. 63lbs for 35 and 69lbs for 37 is what ive read and seemed odd that would warrant a gear change.

I only asked if he would do a gear change from a 35bfg to a 35, not 37, toyo because thats a bigger weight change than the 35bfg to the 37 bfg. Ramble ramble.

Not to derail this thread BUT does anyone know if BFG makes a 37" MT that fits our trucks?

What about the 36" x 12.5 R18 ? I wonder if fender mods would be necessary?

Bigg50 ran those, I think he mentioned that in this thread. But I was them in person, looked great. But he did have t do some trimming too. If i remember correctly, he had some damage to one of his fenders.
