Around my parts 10k ADM for 35's and 15K-20K for 37. McRee Ford sells at MSRP if you call them and they have an allocation. I ordered my 37 at MSRP. Easy deal, only took 2 phone calls.

That's interesting. Under normal conditions, McRee's sales policy seems to be that they want to sell in high volume, but don't offer too many discounts. I've seen them get beat on price by nearby dealerships a few times. They don't care though as they are highly visible right off the highway, and probably make more money from the service department.

Anyway, since their lot is pretty much empty, I would expect them to charge ADM and target customers who have too much money to care. Or perhaps you got the deal as long term customer?

I didn't order from mcree. I was just throwing that out their if anyone was interested in trying them. When I called them they said they sold @ msrp they just didn't have any allocations a few months back.

I would not mind having a few dealers to call for a 35 at MSRP as well. I have talked to the 8 places near me and I cannot order or get one off the lot for less than the added $15-$20K.

Not too long ago there was a person on this forum that has since disappeared and I forgot his name. He got beat up pretty badly by asking one or two people that claimed they paid MSRP to post a sales contract for proof. If I recall correctly, one person took the time to post an offer sheet and after he was called on it not being a contract, shots were fired. I forgot the exact exchange, but the offer sheet guy got pretty rude and wrote stuff like, I don’t have to prove it…yet he had the time to post an offer sheet. I am sure there are well connected people that got MSRP, but those are few and far between. A dealer would have to be an idiot to sell a high value item lower than what the market dictates. Be that as it may, it is interesting that, to my knowledge nobody as of yet, posted a sales contract, with personal info blacked out, that showed they paid MSRP. I met a guy with a 2021 and he said his father in law is best friends with a dealership owner, which is the reason he paid MSRP. That makes total sense, not Joe **** the rag man. Again, there are some, but not many and my hats off to you. I paid 5k ADM, I hope….it should be here any day and it’s not over until the fat lady sings. BOTTOMLINE WHO CARES why a person would bash another for paying whatever for a truck is crazy, it’s not their money. I agreed to pay $5k over, BFD. I am glad I did! I have better thing to do than make a ton of calls, I can afford it! On another note, the dealership that sold me the 37 told me they got 13 allocated in 2021, only two 37’s AND a total of 6 Raptors in 2022 and zero 37’s. Nothing idiotic about it at all, for a couple reasons. One is that charging ADM can get you a bad reputation. No one wants to buy from a dealer like that when they have other options, and most people have a lot of options. The other is that many customers buy multiple vehicles and rather frequently. You don't want to lose those customers by maxing out profit on a single deal.

Basically, if you want to have high volume dealership with long term customers, then charging MSRP is a good policy.

I think most of the complaint stems for the fact that people buying vehicles with crazy ADM helps keep the practice of crazy ADM alive. If no one bought vehicles like that, then we would never see ADM. That said, I don't see $5k as a big deal at this high price point. Especially considering may people have gotten Gen 2s at $5k or more below MSRP when the market dictated that.

So if we are going by your take, why is your dealer only charging you $5k? I’ve seen many go for $10-20k ADM. Why did your dealer leave money on the table? It took me 2 months to find an out of state dealer on a 22 37pp for MSRP. There are dealers out there that just want to take care of customers. Very few sure, but they do exist

Finding a Raptor at msrp is very rare Covid or no Covid. I made many many calls both local and out of state. I found one dealer down south that agreed to sell at msrp and the next day he backed out and said will not sell to Cali residents. Shipping cost is around 2k so I ended up securing a 22 801A in Iconic silver locally paying 5k ADM in writing. Demand is very high so I don’t see any easing of prices anytime soon or even ever. Heck, I can get crazy money for my 2016 tundra pro like equal to what I paid for it. Go figure!
