did you get any wheel hop when you did that?

No, none... I have a video on YouTube too, since some people refused to believe me!

The deavers help eliminate the wheel hop.

Did you both try with the same config: traction control off? Diff locked? ORM? same technique? I have no clue, as I have no desire to prematurely scrub off rubber, I have to pay for mine...lol

Yeah, I think the TC still kicks in and will not give full engine torque as long as it sees the brake switch on. I want to hook up my laptop and see if the desired torque goes down. I have done big smokey burn outs by locking off the front brakes and not being on the pedal, still cuts torque until the abs has a snit fit about not going anywhere and turns the dash into a Christmas tree then lets you roast the tires! I am looking for the vid but can't find it right now. A basic line lock is the easy way around this and is sitting on the shelf at work (low priority). As for scrubbing rubber off, I have a serious new tire addiction and when they get to 50% I just can't wait to finish them off and get new ones...

That seems a little to extreme and not necessary Lol. Would think just bushings.
