how did i miss this?
Because the rest of you were still catching up when we did it... LOL

We did it at the spot we stopped for lunch on Day 2, by the mine. There was a concrete pad there, and needless to say we got a tad bored so needed to entertain ourselves by doing burnouts. Correction, I did burnouts, while Doug TRIED to... LOL

I was there in time to see, I was wondering wtf you were doing... That was a fun piece of high speed, rutted, rocky, scenic desert.

We have the same year, but for some reason his truck would NOT do it! I've heard people say that... but he didn't believe mine WOULD do it, so I had to place a bet on a beer!

Yeah, killer section of trail. These trucks were MEANT for Death Valley!

Did you both try with the same config: traction control off? Diff locked? ORM? same technique? I have no clue, as I have no desire to prematurely scrub off rubber, I have to pay for mine...lol

Did the exact same sequence... I even tried in his! I'm thinking maybe the wheelbase makes it much more difficult, as it just seemed to push the front end more than spin the rear. He said he's tried on various surfaces, and no luck though!
